Just thought id make a thread on my new golf adventures over here! Long term reader and occasional poster in the boards golf forum!

So back home was playing golf every week either with friends or my local society. Was playing off 28 and was starting to take it more serious! Plan was to become a member somewhere at the start of 2012 and get a few lessons to get the handicap down.

Completely out of the blue then I was made redundant and then landed a new job and moved to dubai all within the space of 2 weeks!

Ended up leaving my clubs at home, they were just a complete Wilson starter set with a second hand taylormade driver I had bought. Was going to head home at Xmas and then return with them but then sure with the tax free earnings over here I decided to treat myslef to new clubs :D

So went to a taylormade fitting clinic a few weeks back and got custom fitted for clubs, they gave me a quote for the clubs they recommended but I realized I could get them a fair bit cheaper online so placed the order and couldnt wait for them to get here! Went for a different set of irons than they recommended but they are custom fit to the same spec.

So they arrived here during the week, pics are below

Taylormade Superfast Burner 2.0 (got the matching recovery wood as well)

Irons came with a free matching 60 wedge

So next stage now is to buy a putter and a golf bag! The get out and play some golf! Some brilliant courses over here so will try get a few pics and put them up here!

Ye it was actually too hot to play over the summer, starting to cool down a little bit now (its only getting to 40 instead of 50 degrees during the day)

The good thing is there is floodlit courses over here too so ya can play at night time!
