I dropped my Ipad 2 & cracked the screen in the bottom corner. Model is an IPAD 2 black 16GB Wifi. The Ipad is still working fine, just the screen is damaged. I called Apple support but they wanted €261 to repair, seems way too much for something they dont cover under warrenty & it being only 2 months old.

So I think I'll have to go to a phone repair shop. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop round Dublin? One opened Saturdays would be ideal.

be very careful who you choose these are not an easy repair. just make sure who ever you choose has done a couple of them

Why would you think Apple would repair a product, that you dropped, for free:confused:

They are in the USA though

Maybe try this uk company here

I don't know anyone in Ireland doing them, I will be doing them next month when stock arrives

I'd suggest a Mac specialist like Mactivate . No competent Apple repair is going to be cheap, however.
