I found a card in the IFSC some time ago. Forgot where I put it and have just now rediscovered it.

    SanDisk 4GB.

It has photos of a wedding on it. Groom in some kind of military/naval garb. It looks like a small wedding.

If the Mods have no issues I'll post a photo later on.

If it's yours or know who it might belong to, let me know pls.

If you look at the exif info on it - can you track that exif data on the web so if the person has posted other images you would be able to find them? I'm sure someone posted about a site that did the search for you not so long ago!

Good advice. Some cameras put a lot of info in the EXIF tags.

Canon DSLRs often have the photographers name, camera serial number,
    and lens serial number.

You can try and search for the serial number here: Link

Not too sure how well it works, I just searched the serial # of my 3 bodies and none of them returned any results, all of which I know have images online with exif embedded.

It may be encoded in a way that is not supported by your EXIF tag reader.
Try uploading one of your images to: http://www.stolencamerafinder.com

This is a result for a T3i with firmware 1.0.0 The file is from the T3i review
on steves-digicams. The reported serial number matches the number visible
    in the Physical Views section.
    http://www.steves-digicams.com/camera-reviews/canon_rebel_T3i_bottom.jpg

    SerialNumber: 032011002162

    Lens Model: EF-S18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS

    Internal Serial Number : ZA0028837

    Owner Name:

Camera serial number, Lens model, I think the other number is the
lens serial number and the owners name is left blank. This can be set
    using the Canon software.

I think a few images to assist return of the card would be fine.

As we do not know who owns the card or the identity of those in the images please do not make any negative or disrespectful remarks. Any posted will be deleted and bans will be applied.

I would but tbh I doubt anyone will find it hidden in the Workshop sub forum.

You could stick up one or two in the random pictures thread - the title seems appropriate no? A note accompanying re the lost CF card would get peoples attention if they recognised anyone. Someone may be desperate to get those images back.

It's not hidden in here. Since things have been rearranged earlier this year this has become a very active sub-forum. The subject of the thread is concerning lost/found gear and so this is the appropriate place for that item.

We'll agree to differ. I've put it up on a few spots elsewhere where it has a chance of being seen. Feel free to close the thread.

just stick the workshop on your 'my forums' page. job done, no need to worry about tracking it.

I may be missing something here, but who is going to see it in the other forum that will miss it here?

There was a call from a lot of people to separate the Photography from the Gear talk. This has now been done. Gear threads go in here now. A lost or found piece of equipment belongs in this forum. Sorry if that is not how you feel it should be done. You are still welcome to post an image or two.
