I missed this lecture because I was at the soccer trials.

Does anyone know why the lecture slides weren't put on moodle.

I tried logging on to check but I was really disappointed that they weren't there.

Not all lecturers put slides up on moodle and others take their time doing so. Talk to someone else who was in that class. They'll prob have notes for you and will be able to tell you for definite whether the slides will be up or not.

Hi Karaokeman, that lecture was more of a discussion really. It was centred on portraits of 7 mothers and focussed on the characteristics that placed them in context of when they were painted and in turn how these characteristics also applied to poetry written around the same time. I think the pics were actually at the end of the notes used for the last lecture that are on moodle rather than as notes in themselves. I think this was all by way of introducing us to place poetry in context and will be covered in more detail in the following weeks. hth
