Whats your favourite creepy child scene. Personal favourite is the very first scene from the pilot episode of the walking dead.
The very first scene of the pilot episode, he sees a little girl and calls to her "Little girl... little girl". She turns around, obviously a zombie, and starts moving towards him. There is no rush on him, their not fast zombies, but he still has to shoot a little girl dead. He shoots her, then that savage savage title music kicks in.

I cant wait for the second series...:D

You are aware the walking Dead is television, right? This is the film forum...

Peculiar opening post. And everyone knows Japan are the only country to have perfected the weird freaky child cliche. And then promptly oversaturated it.

i dunno if it can be classed as a creepy child but given the imagery its apt, that dwarf that Satan holds during the scene where Jesus is getting the eh...bejaysus beaten out of him in The Passion freaked the crap out of me.

Regan in the Exorcist. In particular the crab walk down the stairs is just something that gets me.

    Interesting thread. Thanks.

Thats stairs scene, in work so cant watch it but IIRC there is no build up, the mother is just on the phone when the girl runs down the stairs like a crab upside down. I had to move away from the door with the stais behind me after that scene, didnt sleep right after that movie tbf

Do the child scenes in "Don't Look Now" count? That still freaks me out. Actually, I think it's kids in general that freak me out.

Any scene at all from Orphan. Way way more creepier on a rewatching. Thats a fairly underated movie tbf

The Orphanage when the kid with the sack cloth mask first appears was a brilliantly shot scene.

The closing scene of the original Friday the 13th when Jason leaps from the water.

Pet Semetary, any scene involving Zelda still creeps me out or when Gage comes back to life.

The japanese version or us version? I remember watching that thinking "what is wrong with her, would she just f**k off". She was just relentless or something.

Just youtubed that red rum scene :S Any scene where a person is asleep are really scary, think its the vulnerability of sleep, which we all spend half our lives doing

Both:D I rewatched the US version the other day and wasn't afraid anymore but Samara is still quite creepy.

Me too. But for me the scariest part of it is that it's someone from your family, someone you completely trust and love... Brrr.

"Look at me, Damien! It's all for you!"

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

I'd have to say the scene at the end of Stand by Me with the corpse. Doesn't seem like much now but when I was a kid I had to look away at that point.

A grown man played her part but still they way she jerks around in that bed and looks straight at you. Scares the bejesus outta me.

Anyone ever seen a low budget british film called "The Children", some pretty messed up kids in that too.

One of my favourites is in The Shining when Scatman Carruthers starts communicating with the kid telepathetically. Brilliant, the way the camera moves in and the sfx...

Insidious, the scene where that little Victorian boy is dancing to 'Tiptoe through the tulips' and then giggles and runs away through the house.

Gave me a shiver, that did.

For me it was one of the funniest moments in the film;) I got goosebumps when the younger brother looked out of his room and gazed at Dalton's face. And that creepy music... I thought Dalton was going to jump up!

What about the precursor to that, where she's walking through the house with the washing and he's standing facing the wall in the little room, she doesn't see him but keeps walking past.

But your scene freaked the bejaysus out of the girlfriend!

Yea, loads of ppl said to me they thought that dancing scene was rubbish. I thought it was one of the sacrier parts of that movie.

My mate didnt think that part was scary, but he didnt see the precursor scene either cause its a bit of a blink and you'll miss is scene.

I think when you see the precursor scene your waiting for something to happen, so when it does its way freakier. Like she didnt see the kid standing in the room, went through about 3 more rooms, went outside, passed the sitting room window and then BAM you see it. I was on edge for the two minutes before that.

Tha movie could have been sooo much better, if they had of just...
ended it at the séance instead of sending the father into the crappy house that looked like something out of ghostbusters. The movie went a bit farcical after that.

Yes, I did see that, but wasn't sure if I was seeing things or not! Had to rewind back to that part to make sure. It's quite eerie just seeing him standing there with his face to he wall....that whole sequence was the scariest part of the film for me.

It got way too OTT after that.

Not a horror film, but the scene in Trainspotting where they discovered the dead baby in he cot was truly stomach churning.

Also, when Renton is hallucinating and sees the dead baby crawling along the ceiling is beyond creepy....
