Anyone get it today? Is it worth a buy? I have F1 2010 and really enjoy that.

Yea I got it, the graphics are much worse than 2010 imo, other than that good game. The online has improved, but its still far from perfect.

I thought the graphics were ok but it's too easy last years game was much more challeging

Yeah graphics are a bit more 'blurry' than 2010. But I have to say the tyre animations are cool- grass being collected and cool water effects from a wet track.

Car handling has improved too. Much more a feel to the car in corners and not just steep on/off grip on the track. Much more progressive loss of grip.

    Haven't tried the online yet.

I'm having a problem during the race when the engineer says I can use drs and I press L1 nothing happens but it works fine during qualifying, anyone else have this problem?

Nope Virgin which is worse again :) annoying though it wont work

Maybe it's properly accurate, as not all teams have DRS, don't think Virgin have it, HRT certainly don't

Are you within a second of the car in front as you go through the detection zone? The real rules of F1 apply.

Yeah maybe... Will try a different team and see

No DRS is the rear wing isn't it? What's KERS or am I getting them confused?

DRS is the wing opening up. KERS is the boost in power from the batterys.

Yeah the DRS is what won't work I'm in career mode with virgin it's fine in qualifying but won't work in the race.

Ya need to be within a second of a car in front going into the DRS zone for it to be available. Can also only be used from lap 3 onwards.

Yeah the cars that have DRS you can use them freely in Practise and Qualifying. For you to be able to use in the race you have to be within a second of the car in front.

KERS can be used in all sessions (if fitted). I noticed the Lotus doesn't have it.

I started out with the AT&T Williams in Career Mode. Has both DRS and KERS, seems alright.

the drs will work after lap 3 and long as your no more then a second behind the car in front. the graphics are fairly good i think the game is a hell of alot more realistic then last years esp in the cockpit you see the driver changing the gears with the paddles. best game by far though i do agree its slighty easier then last years. is there anyone playing online i can race against??

How does the Career mode work in this..? Do you start of is a rubbish team and have to work your way to the top? Is there any team management involved around getting sponcers/developing R&D etc..?

Yes you have a choice of one of the more weaker teams such as Williams, Force India, Lotus etc... you pick one of those teams and hope you can achieve enough objectives and win a few races to make the stronger teams more interested in you.

You can't influence much of the R&D path initially because you start off as a number 2 driver. AFAIK if you are the number one driver you can choose what R&D path to take..
