    Hi all,

Just bought a Krups Nespresso machine (one of these yokes - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nespresso-Krups-XN710641-Coffee-Machine/dp/B0028QHMFK/ref=sr_1_10?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1316776673&sr=1-10) and it turned up today from Amazon.

Still getting my head around moving from beans to these pods. I know you can order them in bulk on the Nespresso site (and get free delivery), just wondering where I can buy some pods in Dublin city today to tide me over? Tesco? Haven't bought any pods from Nespresso site as I was waiting to see if there was a cash-back voucher for some free pods in the box (as my brother in law got when he bought his) before I ordered any online.

    Cheerio :pac:

Cheers. FFS that's a bit of a pain. When I was in Greece on hols last month on a random tiny island, every rinky-dink convenience store sold 'em!

I'm guessing that Brown Thomas sells them at quite a mark-up?

Same price as online. Inconvenient though.

Indeed inconvenient, but glad it's not more expensive (Amazon sell packs of 10 pods for like £7 ). Will pop down to BTs at lunchtime.

As mentioned, there is no markup compared to online prices, but they do have the monopoly on the capsules. They are generally good at giving you a taste test on all the new variants though so there is a bit of a 'customer experience' to be had going in there.

Interestingly on ebay (and occasionally amazon traders) you can buy your own capsules to fill so you can experiment with your own coffee variants - there are single use and reusable ones available - keep meaning to get some to try it out.

    I'm off for an Arpeggio!

    Enjoy!

Ive had coffee from those refillable pods for the Nespresso machines.

Def wasnt to my taste. Just was not the same quality that I had become used to! Even the smoothness was different, very grainy.

To me, it just wasnt worth going through the hassle for a sub standard cup of coffee. Luckily, it was at a mate's house, and i could bask in the glory of the Rosabaya when i got home :P
