Am selling my JB iPhone 4 and I want to leave it JB with all the apps, but want to make sure that personal security details etc are erased from the phone totally.

What's the best way to go about doing this?

Unless you wipe the phone entirely Im not sure you can be certain no one could access your details.
Here is an old link explaining the iphone function which wipes memory i think it still applys.

IT depends how worried you are about your data and what you think is the potential risk of it being recovered but the only way to ensure it cant be easily recovered is to write to the drive delete and rewrite.

I guess you could achieve this by say deleting all texts/messages photos etc and the writing and filling the empty space with some music, delete and repeat the process several times.

doing that will leave the phone on the activation screen and may require a restore aswell, the iphone 4 should only take a few mins to do no matter what is stored on it

ive personally sold 3 iPhones and all i do is back up, delete texts, then connect to iTunes again and do a restore.

when the restore is done i set up as new phone, and its completely clear then.
