Map file in hand... need it flashed

    Hey folks,

I had my car remapped a few years ago and now I'm looking to have the original map but back again. The company that did the remapping originally do not operate in Ireland any longer so they have sent me the map file so I can get someone else to flash it back to the car. Obviously I need the files checked against each other first to make sure they have supplied me the correct map back! and then then applied to the car

Anyone know someone who can do this for me?

What type of car is it, petrol or diesel and who remapped it originally?

    2005 Alfa 156 1.9 mJTD 140bhp

    Angel mapped it originally.

    Thanks.

I would recommend posting on octane.ie, there are a good few alfa enthusiasts there who should be able to help.

Why do you wish to return it to standard OP? Just wondering.

Well the car has almost 200k miles on it. I guess I'm just hoping to prolong its life. The remap is brilliant, don't get me wrong, but I just worry a little about all that extra torque going through the gearbox/clutch and drives. I've already had to replace both inner spider joints (cv), probably due to the extra pressure.

I'd expect to CV joints to give trouble well before 200k miles tbh. Don't think the remap is to blame.

Not outer CV joints but inner. A very rare part to go on this model as it uses the spider/cup set up.
