Hi, I was just wondering what's the story with this Postgrad Orientation which is scheduled for the 12th of October?

First of all what is it? Like I'm from UL originally, so it took me a while to 'orientate' myself with the campus, but I've about gotten the hang of it from asking annoying questions and just plainly getting lost really.

Secondly, is it worth going to? I'm a PhD student and my department has a seminar on Long Kesh (H-Blocks Prison in 'Norn Iron') on that day between 4 & 5 pm, which I would find rather interesting I imagine.

Thirdly, if it is actually important, then why the hell is it being held 5 or 6 weeks into the bloody term?
