Don't unless you have actually tried on the ring you wanna buy already. Something may look nice on the display but look horrible on your finger!

+1 on that. I had the idea of exactly what I wanted. Just a plain round or princess solitaire. Tried loads on, they looked horrible. Then a nice jeweller in Dundrum recommended a ring with diamonds along the sides and a diamond in the middle as they apparently suit wider fingers. And that is what I ended up with, princess cut in the middle and 3 very small diamonds on each side.

    Hi,

I agree, you really need to try them on and make sure you're happy with what you're getting. We had a great time going around shops trying on rings - my oh hates shopping - but it really was a lovely experience kinda made everything real.:)

My fiancé bought mine online back in May and saved a fortune!!! He knew what I liked and searched for a few months and it was nicer than what I would have picked!! He even got the size right!! I've seen ones here with the same size diamond granted mine has a better cut and clarity than the ones i have seen here but they were double what he paid!!! It was an English company too so not a million miles away :)

A friend got theirs online on amazon, it was fabulous. But I guess as with any online purchase, things can go pear-shape...
