i'm in first year and looking through a booklet i was given and a part about understanding your timetable but one thing it doesn't explain is the part on the timetable that says "L2/01" or "L1/03" on modules, can anyone tell me what it means?

I think it's something to do with the way they split you into groups

I've never known what it means and I've gotten by fine so I wouldn't really worry about it.

All I think you need to know is whether it is a lecture, tutorial, etc; what room it is in, when it is on, what module it is and occasionally who the lecturer is.

    Still not understanding this :o

I've got the time table (through the My Portal) and it looks okay and makes sense to me. So far... good.

Then I've copied the URL one onto my Google calendar and looking through it, that makes sense too.

Problem lies between them though because they don't match!

Example: My Portal one says I'm only in on Friday's from 09:00 to 10:30 on weeks 3 and 5.

Then the Google calendar one tells me that I'm in every Friday from 11:00 to 13:00

It's for Computer Applications, so any help here would be great.

whats the publishing date on the one on the bottom of your portal page? Calendar one might not be as up to date, maybe remove it and add it again.

Portal page at the bottom says... Printed: 24 Sep 2011

You reckon I just go from that one then and ignore the calendar thing?
