Most places should do "normal" suits. My fiance wasn't interested at all in morning suits or black tie and he's renting a plain grey double breasted suit, but with a waistcoat as well. It looks really nice on him :)

We went to Aston formalwear as they were recommended in this forum and they were brilliant. They're also making ties for the groomsmen in the colours of the bms dress for no extra charge. I think they had a number of "day suits" as they're called. I'm sure other suit hire places would have the same.

How many suits is he getting and around how much if you don't mind me asking? I was hoping to steer away from the usual morning suits as well and just go with a normal suit and waistcoat for me and my groomsmen. Haven't really started looking though but I did pop into Magee's on Wicklow Street who said they aren't renting suits anymore and recommended visiting Aston Formal wear. A friend works in M&S and can get me a discount on suits but I have four groomsmen and the two fathers to sort out so it will probably be a lot cheaper to just rent

His suit is 110Euro - so grey suit, shirt, waistcoat, pocket watch thing (which he is very excited about!). It's an extra 20euro on top of that for shoes but I'd imagine most men wear their own.

The groomsmen are wearing the same suit but without the waistcoat and they're making us ties in a matching colour. They're 90euro each. We're having four groomsmen and his dad is also going to get a suit so we'll be getting 6 in total.

Aston formalwear were fanstastic (so far anyway). We were really pleased with them. I think they have a few types of day suits. I know they had black/darker grey ones as well. My fiance picked a light grey colour.
