Educate Together for Kildare Town?

    Hi,
The good news is the Department of Education has decided that Kildare Town is getting a new primary school in Sept 2012. They have invited interested bodies to apply to become patrons of the new school. Educate Together with the support of some local parents (including me) are preparing an application to become patrons of the new school.
Nobody is sure what criteria the department will use when deciding on the successful applicants but local demand will be a strong factor.

Educate Together held an information evening recently and there was a great turnout. What we need is for parents who want an Educate Together School in Kildare Town to express their interest by going on to the website and pre-enrolling their children not only for 2012 but for future years.
Who knows when the next primary school will be approved for Kildare town? If we want a multi-denomination and co-educational primary school, this is our opportunity and we should grab it with both hands.
