Sky Multiroom and Boxes

Hey, just some Q's on multiroom and boxes...

Had sky(sky+) for about 7 years no problems at all but just ordered 2 multiroom packages and 2 additional boxes...

Now we have a home phone line sure but probably a bit of hassle to get a the boxes to a phone line socket since there's none really in each room they're being installed

Do they have to be connected 24/7 after setup or will ill this be an issue? Or will the fact we live in the middle of nowhere and have been a customers for years with no issues help!?

Also the dish has 4 LNB's on it (well there's 4 outputs on it so i figure this is what it is!) But i was reading that up to 8 boxes can be installed on one dish (or 4 + boxes) ...will this have to be changed since there's going to be 2 sky + boxes and a standard box on the one dish!?

    Any help, appreciated

the phone line needs to be connected 24/7 (although some people get away with not having them connected)

the installer should put in the required lnb, (in your case prob an octo)as you will need 6 connections.

Yeah heard about people not needing it, and the one we have now was never connected so wasn't too sure. I know it's different with multiroom but gah the hassle of the phone line shizzle at least the dish can stay the same

also, one room is about 20m away from the dish (Bungalow house) ...Would this effect the signal in any way? or dish have to be moved?

    afaik 20M shouldn't be a problem.
I have a 40M run and its fine.

    Cool thx for the reply

as for the multiroom, I know some people get away without connecting the boxes to the phone line but can i just get it connected to it for the install, when they are gone disconnect it?

i did that and they sent out letters saying i must have it plugged
so i just plugged it back in for a while and then removed it again and they sent a letter again
I think i did this about 4 or 5 times and they eventually stopped and that was 4 years ago
