if you have a normal 8-5 job but in the evennings you give some grinds, do you pay 41% or 12.5% on that additional income?
Is that what the form 12 is for?

    Thanks

Would be 20% paye (+usc etc) if you havent exceeded the standard rate band, 41%+others if you have.

You would pay 20% (+ prsi and levies) if you wage + grinds income was less than your standard band (€32,800 for single person in 2011). Once your income went over this it would be 41% (+ pris and levies).

You would need to file a Form 12 where the extra income would be declared and your tax liability would be calculated.
