We would like to try a cheaper way toget a variety of channels even limited as an alternative to sky. Has anyone tried this 'combo box' it 'includes over 700 channels 'but all we really wany is BBC 1and 2, and it offers BBC 3 and ITV channels. A few kids/teenager programmes would be useful, alot of the teenagers programmes are already on repeats. What is attractive is a once off payment of E370 and no other monthly bills or contracts. Anybody tried this Triax HD satellite box?

Do you have an existing aerial ? Do you have an existing satellite dish ?

If the answer to both of those is yes. then you just needd the box which is €145.

If the answer is no then you should be aware that you can buy the boy, satellite dish and aerial kit for €240. YOu would have to semi handy to fit it.

Who is charging €370 ? Presumably it includes all of the above and installation.

The box is fine. Needs a bit of patience to set up but you will have RTE1, 2HD, Tv3, 3e, RTE News Now, Tg4, BBCs (1,2,3,4 HD, 1 HD etc) Ch4's ITV1, 2, 3 4 and the =1's, Sky news, BBC News and loads more.

THe quality is crystal. There are no more bills. It is fully legal.

Yes we have a (sky) box and aerial already. We will check out that site and how to install the box, do you need a seperate box for each room, we'd need 2 tvs. Do the channels include MTV/music channels for our teenage daughter? Thanks for your reply.

You will not get MTV on fta, but you will get a whole host of other free music channels.
