orthokeratology lenses

    Hi can anyone here tell me if I qualify for orthokeratology lenses my prescription is

    Right eye: Sph Cyl Axis
    Dist +6.00 1.75 2

    left eye: Sph Cyl Axis
    Dist +7.25 1.75 175



    I would appreciate any info thanks!

    i think it is only suitable for shortsighted prescriptions minus figures from plano to minus four.

    I am no expert but pretty sure it can be used for both now, and for some high - prescriptions but you would need to talk to an expert and do some online research.

    Think the general rule is upto -4.00sph and -1.50cyl...more myopic than that can work though, heard of people up to -8.00sph getting corrected.

    There is research ongoing for hyperopia and has been done successfully however I don't know of any optician in Ireland offering them....however I'm open to correction.

    Best option is to ask your local orthok lens practitioner
