Windows xp missing files

Seem to have some files missing from my windows operating system,i cannot download i tunes amongst others . Problem is i cannot do reformat as i cannot find what i did with the Cd that came with laptop.Also tried system restore but that didnt work, could anyone tell me my options , its an old laptop so dont want to be…
