got gas boiler serviced 8 months ago. Was sitting at home the other evening , turned on the heating 2 mins later the lights went out . Switched it back on from the board but it tripped again also noticed heating wasnt coming.Turns out the flame inside the boiler is not igniting and when i reset it from the wall timer the pilot light switches on but then knocks itself back off....... question is do i need a plumber an electrician or a gas boiler technician, or is there an easy fix.

    ta in advance

there should be a spur located by the boiler, switch it off/take out the fuse

this should disconnect the boiler from the rest of the house

then try reset the breakers, if it stays on try turing the spur back on, if you hear it trip then the boiler is your problem

you would probably be best off getting a boiler technition to check it out then if that would be the case

Can you post a pic of your distribution board and what's tripping out. it should not be taking out your lights if the boiler/pump has a fault.

Its probably connected in with a lightling circuit mcb if the boiler is the problem.
