Chartered Electronic Engineers?

Hi Folks

I completed a credited L7 and L8 in electronics eng, but did not continue my membership with engineers Ireland as they seemed to have very little interest in electrical and even less in electronic engineers.

Now I am working on an L9 R&D project and wondering about chartered status as I see some of my fellow L9's going about credit collection for chartered status in there disciplines (nearly all civil engs)

I've never heard of a chartered electronics engineer but of course that doesn't mean its not the case so Im wondering if its usual for electronics engineers to get chartered status?
And if so whats the norm route for obtaining this in Ireland?

I'm not sure if there are any Chartered Electroinc Engineers, but on the Engineers Ireland Candidate Characteristic form when applying for Chartered, Electronics is listed as a discipline.

Spoke to a couple of collegur post grads about this and they said they'd also never heard of a chartered elec eng, thta the status is mainly for people in consultancies. Elec engs dont often work as consultants, thus no chartered elec engs.
