...which one would you love to be in and why?

Imagine living over in the States and making your way to a studio every morning, onto a set and rehearsing/acting out scenes that you know will be watched by millions. I'd say the whole experience would be great craic. You only have to go to Youtube to see the outtakes from some of them, I would love to be part of that. The Friends, Seinfieldand Will & Grace out takes are particularly funny.

So for me, I would love to be on the Big Bang Theory. I think I would slot into that cast quite well. I'm a combination of all of them characters (apart from Penny haha).

You're a Jewish, squinty, Indian, tall, short, sleazy aspie with a huge ego who is terrified of women while at the same time has no interest?

F*ck yeah! Although that's not really "situation comedy". More "forced amputation sans comedy". But good choice nevertheless.

I'd love to be Moss' mate. Richard Ayoade is such a talented fella. I'd broaden that to any of Linehans shows. Or Spaced.

    Not a sitcom.

I'd love to go on the piss with Jimmy McNulty and the bunk from the wire

Jenna Jameson did that "America's next big porn star" series, does that count?

Not strictly a sitcom but Saturday Night Live 1975-1980. Could do some major drugs and drinking backstage with John Belushi and co .... and then do the show.

I'd go with Scrubs. It jumped the shark long before the end but the early seasons were quality. And it looked like such a fun show to be a part of with all of JD's daydreams. Who could resist being part of the Love Train? :D

show changed when Shelley left :(

Modern Family cos its the funniest thing on TV right now and my surname totally fits. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,927 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Frasier. I have the same fits of anger as Bulldog Briscoe but also the same sophistication of the Crane brothers and I'd say it fit right in with Martin and the boys in McGinty's.

Oh and I'd give Roz a good rattle.

Was just about to say that, cause you would get to hang around with Phil :D

I reckon if I was in a sitcom, I'd rather be the actual caharacter than the actor. Unless of course the sitcom was The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, in which case I'd be both at the same time.

The Office. Looking at some of the outtakes on YouTube, there were occasions when Gervais and co literally couldn't say the lines they were laughing so much, they went to 30 takes a few times for this reason!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,764 ✭✭✭cml387

    The Major in Fawlty Towers.
Only worried about whether it's 5:30 yet.
And to deliver one of the great lines:

American guest: This is the worst hotel in England.
Major: Nooo,I won't have that. There's a place in Eastbourne

I'd love to have been in Freaks and Geeks or anything by Judd Apatow that would kickstart my Hollywood career and lead me to star alongside Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Jason Segel.

Other than that, Parks and Recreation, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family.
