Looking for option for apartment/hotel/b&b's in either St. Elmo or Ischkgl. Looking for a group of 6-8 guys. We can rough it a bit or we don't mind being a bit outside the 'centre' and carrying our stuff to the lifts.
We've been in Austria 3 times, Soelden and Soll but are thinking of a bit of a change.
    Thanks in advance.

Soelden is excellent. We travelled to different resorts every year but went back to Soelden twice it was so great. Fantastic skiing, very good night life and some cheap eats around as well. Just up the road there is one of those Austrian spa resorts for 20euro or so you get a day in the pool and a massive spa/relaxation area etc. Great for a day chilling.
Long narrow town so your never to far away from anywhere. Small enough.

All in all we loved it. Went to Soll last year, weather wasn't great but still much prefered Soelden.

    Enjoy

Ischgl has some fantastic skiing, and great apres ski. BUT (I don't know if this bothers you) it's FULL of men. Major sausage-fest. Anyhoooo, we've stayed in Hotel Solaira a few times. Nice place, nice food and it's handy for the lifts & the town.
