Should we leave the EU?

I personally think we should, and return to the economic arrangement which was in place with the EEC, as opposed to the political entity the EU seems to be becoming. Also, we have pretty much received all the funds we are going to be getting toward infrastructure etc from Brussels. I think that we should of course trade and co-operate internationally with the Europeans, but I really don't see why we are in a union with nations and peoples we have little in common with.

Would it be a good idea to leave the EU? 13 votes

Excellent. This discussion again. I've been looking forward to it as it hasn't been discussed for nearly 48 hours now. Great.

Leaving the EU would be bad, we'd lose the free movement of goods people and services, which is quite advantageous, however we should definitely leave the Euro, ****ing disaster of an idea!

Totally. We should leave Europe altogether. Float the Island over to Hawaii, we could totally be the 9th Island of Hawaii.

Leave the Euro but stay within the EU would be best if it was possible.

Come off it our roads have been built as PPP schemes for years, regional level roads and local roads come from tax coffers.

No problem with a common market but the EU in its current form is heading for the type of superstate that I think Ireland should have no part of whatsoever.

No. Just no. Just think of all the dregs a certain nearby country would produce dreaming of a new "British Isles"....

We joined the EEC, a common market for trading partners

    It's something completely different now

No. The argument that we should leave the EU is stupid.
The argument that we should vote yes to any future treaties and basically get on our knees and give the EU a blowjob because of the bailout and funds we received is equally as stupid.

It's hard to believe that this is where a movement of millions begun..

Anyways, not that it makes any difference, but, Martin Luther King... I have a dream too... we leave the EU, join a Federation with Brazil...

    F.u.ck yeah.
