Have one of these a few months and it works great, however today, it wont switch on! Tried rebooting, left it off a few hours and still nothing. When switched on the front display lights up and the red light underneath comes on but then fades away. Anyone have any ideas, is there possibly a reset option? Thanks

I have a 350gb Humax and it sometimes won't switch on. But I have a Humax hd box in the bedroom and when this problem occurs I use the other remote and it always works.

I got a Humax HDR-Fox T2 at the end of July 2011 and it has a problem.
Nearly Every time I try to start it from standby by the front on button or the remote on off nothing happens. It did seem to be OK on the first day now You have to unplug the mains and then let it boot up(blue LED) ( system start appears) it then turns off after a few seconds. You can then start it by remote or front button. This happens nearly every time I try to start it when its been off from the previous day or has not been used for a good few hours. I contacted Humax support and they told me to download latest firmware and do a factory reset, I did but the problem is still there. It now has started missing some recordings as well. It decides to on a odd night not to record a programme .

    Hi Haymur,

    A Humax HDR-Fox T2, isn't that a freeview box?
Where about in SE DUblin are you and what type of aerial are you using to get Freeview?

Where do you get it from, Wales, and is reception good?

I am in Shankill and was wondering if I could get it here.

I do have Freesat but would possibly try Freeview also for the extra stations.

    Cheers,

    TC

its a terrestrial HD box which has Mpeg4 4 so it gets all Saorview stations, I have a freesat for UK stations. I dont think you will get UK TV on a terrestrial aerial in Shankill

    Cheers Haymur.

I presumed that all you had was the Freeview box. I have the Foxsat HDR Fresat receiver and a €60 Digihome Saorview box from Power City.
I plan to fit another dish for other satellites, but just thought if I could get Freeview, (which I did not think, rightly, that I could) I would have tried it.

    Cheers

I have two Saorview tvs but needed a recording box to replace my analog HDD recorder which was getting a bit old and poor record quality for the Irish stations

There was a poster in the past, near Shankill, claiming to get Freeview from Wales - think he was located in Sandyford area.
