Can anyone suggest a trail on UL campus for jogging?

As you go into Kilmurry village, take the first left down past houses 8,7, etc.

Come to the bottom, go down the slope and from there is the fantastic Lough Derg way, a lovely trail that runs parallel to the River Shannon and brings you in as far as Limerick city. Can also be reached by the back of Dromroe.

How far are you going and at what time of the day/night?

There's a good old circuit if you go from the Millstream across the Living Bridge down to Thomond Village, across University Bridge and then around to the Plaza and back to the Millstream. You can make it longer at several points (head up to the Cappavilla carpark and back, head to the right after University Bridge towards the Boathouse carpark, head from the Plaza past the Stables, down behind the MSSI building and up in front of the Whitehouse and back to Millstream) if you so desire.

Don't think any of that route is too dark but it can be a bit quiet if you're running it at night though plenty of people and dogs walk a lot of that during the evening.

If it's during the day, you might try to run more along the riverbank but you can never be too careful down there - get a jogging partner. Nothing has ever happened to me but you hear stories. Run the bank from Kilmurry Village until you can run up to University Bridge and you can use a lot of the same route as above.
