Hi, can someone recommend a solicitor in Limerick for a reasonably straight forward probate, by PM.

Also, could someone give me a ballpark figure on what solicitors charge for probate? is it a % of the estate, or fee etc?

(mods please amend/delete if anything is unacceptable here)

It's typically a % of the value of the estate. If it's reasonably straightforward then you should do it yourself. It's a bit of a slog but it's all documented on the web.

thanks. reading from the web there seems to be big delay with personal probates ~7 months. Would the timeframes be similar if a solicitor is doing the probate or what kind of timeframe would there be?

It sort of implies that a solicitor will get the job done quicker but it probably depends on the situation in your local probate office which would be based in the Circuit Court office in Limerick.
