Dunno which sites are reliable - as you have guessed there are more than a few scammers out there.
People will probably post on this thread saying '' XYZ are brilliant '' but I would advise you to be aware that previous threads on cruise ships have seen posters signing up on boards.ie to sing the praises of some recruitment outfit and after their one and only post they dissappear and are never to be heard from again - tread with caution.

Many moons ago, i was offered a job with this lot, they were based in London at the time so was interviewed there. The position at the time was for a purser which is more or less a reception/admin job on board.

Can remember the exact salary etc as I never took the position as I got a better offer at the time The package was decent enough though. Its a tough job, you generally do six weeks at sea, no days off and then get two full weeks of at your port of call, which is usually somewhere nice. Other upside is you spend very little of your salary while working as you get bed and fed on board so you can save a lot of money.

Downside is the being away from family and friends i guess, although id say you have some great crack with other employees on the ship.

Anyway, good luck with your search, hope this helps.

http://vikingrecruitment.com/ is probably one of the bigger UK names and they have a decent reputation.

    Hi all,
Has anybody here heard of recruiters "VIP International" or "Gordon Leighton" currently looking for nurses on cruise ships?
Cannot find much information about them online.
