Is it cheaper online, booked in advance, or not?

Don't think so, but there are cheaper car parks further afield in swords that run free shuttle buses to/from the airport. Slightly more hassle, slightly less cost...

I travel a lot and find you get very good rates from the main airport parking if you book online two or three weeks in advance - often they let you use the short term parking offpeak (i.e. not summer) and you can have it for less than a tenner a day, great if its just a long weekend.

No harm in putting in your dates and checking the rates anyway:

i use parksmart.ie. Much cheaper than dublin airport and quickpark. Also, depending on where you choose to park, there is a free shuttle bus to and from the airport.

Depending on what time you fly and where you are living it may be easier and cheaper to get a bus or even a taxi if you are away for a few days or within earshot of the airport; I'm thinking of Swords, Coolock, Ballymum here. If you are southside or outside the Pail then driving is probably going to be more economical.

If you are using the long term parking you should allow about 20 minutes to get to and from your car via the transfer bus to the terminal. It may not seem like much but if you are tight for time it can make things stressful.

I use Quickpark too. Pay in advance, get a code which you type in on entrance and exit. Not too far from the airport either but bear in mind they drop off at T1 and T2 but only pick up at T1, so you have to walk to T1 after your return flight.
