Pointless life?

If you owe 11 times as much as your salary in mortgages (€650k), can only pay interest on €200k of your debt and are living off €500 net per month (after bills) with no hope of clearing down the debt and barely keeping the two kids looked after, whats the point?

The older one gets the less chance of dragging out the mortgage meaning the banks might come in and the deck of cards will fall down.

Isn't it like living on death row, waiting for the inevitable to happen?

You posted in another thread about using escorts, maybe if you cut down on outgoings like that you wouldn't be in so much debt?

Never said it was for me... (please re-read before marking smart comments unless of course you think the situation I have mentioned isn't worthy of being looked at seriously)

While it may be worthy of being looked at seriously - this forum is PERSONAL issues, so please confirm whether this is a personal issue for you.

Hey, if you can't pay what you owe, you can't pay what you owe, simple as that.

Because you can't pay what you owe, there will be consequences. What you have to do is figure out how to deal with these.

If the proverbial sh*t hits the fan and the banks come in, you should be planning for that eventuality. If it means you losing your accomodation, go find out now what options are available to you with regard to new housing just in case this happens. Don't suddenly be out on the street with nowhere to go. Get as much info as possible on what your entitlements are regarding social welfare, housing etc etc.

You have two children to look after so you have to be strong and look out for them. You are in a better position than most because you are lucky enough to have a job. Fair enough, losing your home, credit rating etc is a kick to the gut but it isn't the end of the world. Plenty of people are in the same situation and most of them manage at some stage to get back on their feet. Those who get back on their feet don't let their circumstances drive them down. They are proactive and take steps to help themselves. You will have to be the same.

Get as much info as possible so that you know how to react if circumstances take a downturn.
