    my mate is wondering if he can go on holiday whilst hes on JSA? would he have to tell the job centre?

    Yes, you are allowed two weeks holiday a year.

    You just inform them and they will hold the payment and make a note if your signing on date falls within this time

    Straightforward question, just head to the local office and inform the staff

    Be a good idea to get the welfare officers name and save a draft text on his phone so if something goes wrong he has "ah I spoke to x"

    They made a big song and dance about it when me and GF were heading away for a gig and would miss a signing day, but got it eventually.

    what was harder was the time i had to go to court in Galway as a witness, i needed letters from lawyers and everything for that
