    Hi all,

I'm looking to book a hotel for a couple of nights away for meself and the wife.
She's expecting so no need for clubs or long hill walks, just a bit of r&r.

Connacht is the preferred location as we're travelling from Donegal and wouldnt mind staying this side of the country.
We stayed in Mulranny before so that's out, as is Roscommon Town as I'm from there so no point.
    what hotels are near Clonmacnois?
Galway city if the price is right could be an option too.
Anything in Sligo near the sea?

    opinions please folks....

Highly recommend the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel in Clifden. Stayed there a few years ago and the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful, the hotel itself is utterly charming with real atmosphere - not one of those could be anywhere chain hotels - and the food very, very good.
