I currently have a Sky+ box with a basic package.

Just had a guy from Delta Digital in Cork call to my door offering the following:

    1 x Sky+ HD 3D box
1 x Sky HD 3D box for a second room
    1 x new satellite dish
    Free multiroom for a year
No charge for the HD channels
    1 year warranty

    All for €99 installation

    Too good to be true??

It depends on what package you'd be on. By the looks of things it's about €70-80 a month. That's the charge to get 3d channel. If it's a free choice of package, even I would take the deal. I got rid of sky ages ago as it was too expensive.

Definitely too good to be true.

Firstly there is no such thing as free multiroom for a year and no such thing as free HD subscription.
Secondly the €99 install fee is way off plus no doubt the Delta rep wanted you to sign up again as a new customer.

The new customer offer is €10 per month for multiroom for the first 12 months, there's also a charge for the HD Pack.

Install fee is €30 and not €99 as you were quoted.

The best thing to do is ring Sky's cancellation/retention dept. and try your luck to get an offer (mention UPC and you'll be surprised what you get;))

He told me I could stay on the same basic package ~ €24/month. Am I not getting the full story?
