Help connecting 2nd tv to sky+ box!

I have a sky+ box connected a samsung tv in my living room. I want to connect it to another tv in my kitchen (the living room is next door to it)

I've connected the sky box to the 2nd tv to test it and it shows up fine but the picture is quite hazy and poor.

If I use a scary lead to connect them the picture is perfect but I don't want to have to drill a much bigger hole in the wall to accommodate a scary lead.

Is there any way I can improve the picture using just the rf aerial type connector between the tv and the sky box?

Do you have a terrestrial Aerial also in the sky box? If so you mite want to change the frequency it comes out at. Also check the cable that you have used to connect the sky box to the tv with to make sure the inner braid is not making contact with the inner core as this will give you a bad picture.

What kind of sky + box do you have ? Is the white or new sky + hd box.

Yeah there is a terrestrial aerial connected I think.

It's the white sky+ box. This type of one: 1fc1c1c2db5852e08ffc380475e26336c5b5cb5a345a64ff227dfa609ae5ef0d.jpg

You should get a very good picture on another telly via the rf out on the sky box ( I'm running 5 tv's off it) just use the engineers menu to change the channel that it outputs off, a quick google will get it for you can't remember it off the top off the head.

Services, 401, select or something like that..

A good 1st step would be to remove the terr. aerial input to see if that is the source of the problem.

It kinda helps if you have an idea of what channel to use for the RF output, rather than trial & error. You have to find a clear channel & the Skybox modulator will interfere with the lower adjacent channel too. Keep the Sky channel at least 2 above any other wanted channel & preferably leave a gap on the upper side too.
