My colleague is getting a 5 second beep when he turns on his computer, it doesn't work needles to say. It just keeps repeating with no pattern, that we can make out. Is a 5 second beep a "long beep" or a continuous beep? I'm guessing a continuous one is as it describes... goes on forever, but just want to be sure! I've looked up BIOS codes but can't find anything for constant long beeps!

    Anyone any suggestions/ ideas?

    Using one of these http://www.dealextreme.com/p/pc-motherboard-repair-troubleshoot-boot-failure-diagnostic-pci-card-21997

which is giving the code AF, but AF is not given in the manual so its not much use really!
