Does anyone know if there's a way to make the RTE player work on the trinity internet connection? I'm not sure if it's just my machine not playing nicely with the other digibits but i can only seem to watch the commercials at the beginning of each clip and not stream the actual content .All ideas molto appreciated!

(i was trying to watch the news this morning as i realise i've not engaged with the world outside the bubble in almost a week now!)

The situation changes from month to month. Try a different browser (Firefox/IE/Chrome).

Also, if you have access to the comp sci network, try using that instead of the tcd one...

You could also maybe try something like proxifier... As I *think* the issue is with the college proxies... You could also try connecting to proxy c or d, as there were different settings on those proxies last year which allowed you access to things you couldn't get access to normally, although I wouldn't be surprised if this had been sorted by now.

AFAIK, proxifier isn't free, but you should be able to get a trial version at least... see how that goes maybe?

EDIT: Proxifier lives here if you're interested http://www.proxifier.com/ ... I'm sure there's plenty of other programs that do the same job, but it's what i've used for the past 4 years and it's great

thanks folks, will give proxifier a go i think - i don't have access to compsci net unfortunately, just the regular one and am already logged in via proxy c! Cheers for info :)
