Free half day workshop on Promoting Mental Health within the Workplace
Venue: Prince of Wales Hotel, Athlone. Tuesday 4th October 9.00am – 1.30pm
According to the National Economic Social Forum one in six or 16% of employees said they experienced mental ill health in the last two years and more worrying 63% of employees felt that workplace stress interfered with their family life etc.

Whilst these figures are indeed a cause for concern for all of us GROW as an organisation and in partnership with the HSE and other voluntary organisations felt it incumbent to begin to work with organisations and businesses hoping it might redress the balance of such statistics. The European Network for Workplace Health Promotion are of the belief that in addressing issues of mental health within the workplace the results would be positive in terms of reducing absenteeism, lowering of staff turnover, increasing staff morale and could include a boost in productivity a much needed result in today’s difficult economic climate.

The half day workshop which is totally free will include presentations on:

    · Promoting Positive Mental Health
    · Managing Stress
    · Suicide Prevention

All presentations will be interactive and at the end of the half day a certificate of attendance will be given to all participants. A folder of relevant information will be available for everyone.

We are asking that you consider this half day workshop as a necessary training for staff in view of the benefits it may derive for the future growth of your organisation.

Please do not hesitate to contact the GROW Midland Region office on 057 93 51124 between the hours of 1.30 & 3.00pm Monday – Friday to book a place or to find out further information.
