Astra Twintop - Roof not retracting

Hi The roof on my Astra Twintop won't come down as it no longer recognises that the luggage compartment cover is pulled over. The 3 gong sound comes on to signify that the cover isn't in place - when in fact it is. Have any of you Twintop owners had this issue? If so was it easily resolved?
