ive been looking around for a decent cheap speaker system for the ps3 and came across these on play.com http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3514723/-/Product.html unfortunetely they dont deliver electronics to ireland.
so im wondering if anyone has seen them for sale anywhere around dublin. or on any online stores.
the reviews on play and utube have been good.
    thanks.

How much you willing to spend. A mate of mine got one in Harvey Norman for 150 and it sounds amazing. 200 wats. Rocks the house.

I don't like 5.1 systems myself for gaming. I find them too messy.

I am going to pick up the same speakers when I have the funds

These are at the other end of the scale but are ok.

Quick question, would you not get a headset instead?

no. headsets dont appeal to me.
ive a lot of movies downloaded onto the ps3 aswell.
i like it when the wife comes in to complain about the noise.

I did a bit of an odd thing and it works wonders.

Not a massive media fan so this does me but I got a cracking pair of Phillps PC speakers and ran them via the headphone jack on the TV.

My neighbour came in that in evening wondering what was going on when I was playing CoD

I cannot say enough about them !

had a look and there is no headphone jack on the tv.
there is a dvi audio in though.
i might try and see if the speakers from the pc fit in anywhere.
those philips are nice looking where did you get them.

I have the playstation 5.1 soundbar. I find it very good. I don't have the space for a real 5.1 system and it's a big improvement over the tv's sound. I got it from amazon a few months ago.

You connect it to the ps3 via optical cable(which comes with it). If you have PlayTV for your PS3 you can use it for tv.
