Gateway Student Village - Really quiet?

I'm living in gateway and I'm not too crazy about it right now for a few different reasons.

There is nobody near my apartment (ground floor right beside the door) so I haven't spoken to anyone coming in and leaving their accom.

I'm living with a person who is older and doesn't have the same interests as me.

I'm a pretty sociable person and would like to hang with people my age :(

    What should I do? :)

What can you do, you'll make friends on campus very soon and can visit them/have them come over.
Just remember that if you perceive others as quiet, they might think you a bit loud , so try to be nice about it.
I'm currently on campus and wishing some people would STFU at night.

Hey I'm an average teenager and to be honest I'm not really loud but I do enjoy a bit of banter. :)

I wonder if I can swap rooms or something?

Anyone have any experience with gateway and room swapping before? Please do share!

I have experience with Gateway, and I found it to be rather quiet in general. That suited me down to the ground, but I did have one roommate who was always good for a chat. He was pretty great, and in the reserves.

Oh, the banter that we had going late into the night...

I'm not so sure about room-swapping though. I suspect you could probably get away with it below-board, you'd just have to be super careful not to draw attention to yourself.

On the other hand, if you could find somebody willing, I'd say that the management would be happy enough to do it!

I'm living in Gateway, seems like the lads are having the banter, Sunday night there seemed to be a load of people wandering in an out of apartments... It's quieter than I expected, but it's nice, the last flatmate is only moving in atm but one that moved in the same day as I did seems lovely! Neighbours have also called in, maybe it's just bad luck for you right now? What core are you in? :)
