Are these used and mixed? I'd say it's much of a muchness and it depends on what you get for your money. Top Flite used to be durable and hard but now they make all sorts of balls. So just toss a coin if you don't know what you are buying other than a "make".

i bought a bucket of Pearl grade top flite balls there recently for practice / winter use. Christ they are like hitting rocks!!

There is about 50 in it and you can have them for €25 if you want them.

I would avoid buying second hand in shops as the balls are often bleached to give them that new look, but in reality they have probably been sitting in the bottom of a lake for ages and are duds. The price of new Top Flights or Pinnacles should make them a more attractive option, as for which is better ..... there's absolutely no difference to a casual golfer, its just a matter of personal choice and that is often down to having a good game with one or the other.

I agree with CharlieIRL that Top Flites are like rocks. You'll never have an ounce of feel with them.

On the other hand, Pinnacles have the reputation of being a hard ball but I disagree. They are a distance ball but you'll have a lot of feel with them and I find them almost as good as Titleists for putting. Great feel.

And I agree with Dtoffee also. You shoule be able to buy 15 new Pinnacles for €12-15. Great value.
