Photos will help us help you out, but generally bodyshops are about 350 for the larger panels like quarters.

wouldnt fancy a chances of getting colour right without painting door or realistically whole side

I don't know if it's worth painting the whole side. If you got the panel done it'd look a hell of a lot better. €300-350 would be my guess too.

A lot of bodyshops can get the colours bang on these days.

€350 could make that Golf a borderline candidate for beyond economical repair :o

Exactly. Personally I would drive her on the way it is.

Had thought that myself James, but just need to get a ballpark of what damage repairs might cost. cheers

I'd be in the same baot myself tbh, a quater panel coupled with a set of new tyres and the ZT would be a goner.

Although, it looks like your damage was caused by someone else, so if they're paying, happy out.

strange when driving on the road i can see 2009 nad 2010 cars especially silver with an obvious big line down a door where they blew the paint in.

You should never see a line anyway even if the paint is a tad off perfect, should be blended in.
    Shoddy workmanship.

I don't think 'blow in' is what you think it is. If you blow paint in, it's impossible for there to be a line

A lot of bodyshops now have colour spectrometers - like a high tech camera for paint, it takes about 8 photos of a panel at huge magnification from different angles, and beams the data to a laptop for analysis, making the mixture 100% accurate.

If I was you I'd look into some paintless fix as there is no major crease in the dent it should be able to be pushed out from the inside? Some of the scratches only look superficial? a cut and polish after should get them out?

That metal is stretched significantly. It won't push out.
