As the title says I've just went onto Black Ops and noticed that between now and last night the Nat Type has gone from open to strict.

    Service Provider : UPC
    Modem : Cisco EPC2425
    PS3 NAT : 2

    Anybody know any fixes ?

We've all had that at one stage or another , give it a while and it should go back to normal.

When it happened to me it never affected gameplay , What about you ?

Ye it's a funny thing, always see it when me and fellow boardies are playing, one person always has it but, but it rarely affects gameplay

It will never affect the gameplay, but it can restrict some features like joining parties hearing people on the mic etc.

Little things that can be annoying. I remember on the ps2. Every online game required you to open to open ports it was awful annoying!

Yeah, that happems all of us. Can't remember the stuff I did to get rid of it. Opening the ports or somethhing like that. You can do a google there and it'll show you step by step how to fix it.

It's still happening lately and I updated the recommended ports and it still makes no difference. People are finding it hard to hear me on the mic and saying that I'm lagging all over the map.

My technical skills are fairly naff. If something doesn't work I'd generally try shaking it.
Anytime I've gone to strict on blops either resetting the Modem or loading up a game of MW2 and then relaunching blops has worked for me.

Tried all of that and nothing worked. And in fact it's getting even worse now. Also used the port checker that portfoward.com recommend and the results of the port are showing as negative.

Dunno what to do really ?

I'm curious to know who's fault this would be ? Sony, Black Ops or my ISP (UPC) ?

Mate is there a firewall on your isp somewhere? Possibly turn it off, but make sure you have a separate firewall for pc. That worked for me! I'm not UPC though so can't really help. Worth a shot though!
