I have a thing for muffins lately, can't get enough of them. Had my first one this year. Why did I wait so long?

So anyway, I was sitting on my lonesome today in a cafe and ordered myself a nice strawberry muffin and a coffee.

Normally I am given a knife and a saucer so I can cut it into segments and eat it that way. Is that the correct way to eat a muffin? Anyway, today I wasn't given a knife so that got me wondering am I supposed to eat muffin with my hands?. I kinda picked pieces off it and went at it that way. Kinda messy and awkward!

Do you like a but of muffin and how do you like to eat it?

    Place in mouth, chew, swallow.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

well there's no melting your top lip and roof of mouth thats for sure ..so considering you have more taste buds left to taste the meal, it does in fact taste better!

Remove paper, eat bottom part, eat top part. Move onto muffin 2.

Stare at the muffin for a good 20-30 minutes and absorb the taste. Yum!

Well thats the way I approached it today but it was messy. It breaks apart in your hand. Gettin bits of strawberry around my mouth! Must have looked like a baby with chocolate all over their face!

It's the only way to approach it tbh, just aim for your mouth rather than the side of it:p

I tend to peel it apart. Alternatively, a teaspoon works well if you want to keep your hands clean. The added benefit is that if you're having a cup of tea and a chocolate muffin you can heat the spoon up in the tea first and get some melted chocolatey goodness.

Well you see, if like me, you use cutlery with a muffin you are a 'poshy'.

    I hate sticky fingers though!

I remember on school tours to Bundoran, there was that place that does Hot chocolate muffins + ice cream - was great! Not as nice when you do them at home, for some reason.

Hold on to paper wrapping on bottom with left hand, bite off half of the top bit, then the other half, then unwrap one side of bottom paper and eat that bit, then the other bottom half. 4 bites is the maximum that you need.

I've found myself eating pizza with a knife and fork recently because the cheese from the remainder of the slice either comes off the base and scalds my hand, or in the fight to stop that from happening, I burn the roof of my mouth. Now that I don't worry about burning myself I find pizza much more enjoyable. Tres enjoyable.

I east thin crust pizza with knife and fork mostly. I also eat the first half of the kebab with a fork, as its too messy to pick up at that stage.
But not a muffin, I just start biting bits out of it yanno?

You pick up the muffin and carefully peel off the paper.
Then throw away the muffin and eat the paper....
