The culmination of the Fed EX Cup played at East Lake CC, another one of my favourite courses.

Players who can win the Fed Ex Cup outright below:

    RANK PLAYER POINTS
    1. Webb Simpson 5,261
    2. Dustin Johnson 3,841
    3. Justin Rose 3,748
    4. Luke Donald 3,625
    5. Matt Kuchar 3,349

I'm gonna ignore all of them.. except for MAYBE Mr. Simpson. Odds of around 11/1, despite his form I simply cannot back him at this moment in time. I do think there is a possibility he is running out of gas so to speak also. Things could change before or during the tourney so we'll see.

    Nick Watney @ 18/1 and a small bet on him being 1st Round Leader @ 16/1 -
Watney has the best first round scoring average on the entire PGA Tour in 2011 just ahead of Matt Kuchar.
His final round last week made me take note of him again. Vying for the Fed Ex Cup outright and has a very good record around East Lake.

    Geoff Oglivy @ 25/1 -
My mind was made up fairly early on yesterday. Someone who before this season I used to have a good few bets on during the year(s) as I'am a fan of his. After qualifying for the Tour Championship as a result of his fine display last week as well as qualifying for the International Presidents Cup team, he'll be buzzing.

    Keegan Bradley @ 40/1
Tough decision between himself, KJ and Chez Reavie. But I'll get on the Keegan train.

Snedeker and Toms for me this week.

Bermuda greens and hot weather will make it very different to last week.
    Like your picks as well.
I'll probably do Watney for 1st rnd lead. usually starts fast.
Might get with Ogilvy in top australian or top international markets.

Anyone can win the fed ex outright but the top 5 have their destiny in there own hands. If any of them win the tour championship then they win the Fed Ex Cup.

Anyone of the 30 playing this week could win it with the right combination of results.

Even Bo Van Pelt in 30th can win the Fed Ex if say he wins this week and
No. 1 must finish 29th or worse
No. 2 must finish seventh or worse
No. 3 must finish fifth or worse
No. 4 must finish fourth or worse
No. 5 and No. 6 must finish third or worse

Great link to the PGA site with all the scenarios ofr each player.

Keeping it simple this week by going for favourites.

Nice bet on a scarily driven Luke Donald even if he is a bit skimpy at 7.6 on betfair.

Also if Harrington hits any kind of form with the new swing he'll win in Austria at 12.6

    85/1 the double.

A lot of pressure on the guys at the top this week.Kj Choi plays this track well and had a top ten last week and G Ogilvy, who is also in form plays ok here so i am going to back both of them to finish in the top 10.Harrington is getting desperate and he turns up in austria with a new swing,he could romp home but nowdays he cant be trusted so for me its a swerve.I probably wont be able to concentrate anyway because three days following around Christina Kim in Killeen castle will be enough to distract me.

Surprised nobody has went for Jason Day?

Had a really good breakthrough year & def one to watch!

    Went for Toms and Woodland.

I'm sorry but for the year he had and the odds he is are just CRAP....What did he win
    NOTHING
    .

How can he be 18/1 and then Keegan Bradley be 40/1.

Day normally only plays one good round per competition. Look at the masters if he didn't shoot the -8 he would of came nowhere.

Sorry for giving out to you but I just don't understand how he can be priced so low (for every competition) and why everyone keeps going on about him.

Tell us your thoughts on Rory's prices whenever he plays, one win all year ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 624 ✭✭✭gudede

Rory's, Luke's and you could include Westwood. All those prices are crap. I taught Rory 20-25/1 for the US Open was crap. He should of been around 40/1.

But as long as people keep backing them at that price then there price won't increase.

The only person I think has won this year at a single figure was Mr September and that was a course he loves and the third year in a row he won there.

Hardly a breakthrough year, where have you been the last few years?

In terms of his chances I think hes lost a bit of confidence with his putting so I'm staying away

He's posted nine top-10 finishes in 20 events this year. I'd say this year was his biggest!

WHAT??????? he sais it was his 'breakthrough' year,i simply stated that was incorrect
for eg he won a us tour event in 2010 and finished 8th in the standings........hard to 'breakthrough' a year after that .....would you not agree???

Hope he does the business for ya man. He's been tipped by a few people in recent times I've noted, but at those odds this week I couldn't go with him.
