Theory test tips

    Hey guys, I recently bought the cd for the theory test and i am practicing it now and i was just wondering if anyone has any tips on it to make it any easier for me to pass it?

    Are you doing the test before the 24th October? Because the Theory Test is being updated from the 24th and the 4th edition will be out of date.

    As for advice just do as many practice tests as you can, as soon as your geting 40/40 frequently I'd say you're ready to pass.

    It's been ages since I did the theory test so I can't remember the specific details, but on the CD you had the option of taking a mock 40 question test. Keep doing this - but you'll find you are getting a lot of the same questions over and over (or keep getting easy questions).

    A good tip is to go into individual sections from the CD menu (e.g. technical questions) and you can be tested on 20 questions from each section - this helps you tackle those few 'tough' questions without constantly having to wade through the "What should you do in poor visibility?" "What does this sign mean?" "What is a Yield sign shaped like?" questions.

    But just keep practicing on the CD. The real test is EXACTLY like that, often questions are copy and pasted word for word, even with the same diagrams!
