17 year old daughter worked in cafe from march till august (part time just a few hrs a week)
She recently left as she's starting LC year at school.
All through her employer had her on emergency tax even though her tax credit came through months ago..
She shouldnt have been paying any tax....
I got her P45 from employer for her but on subject of income tax rebate he states that she now needs to claim this back from revenue as she has ceased employment with P45 issued ??
I've looked about on revenue site but can't see a form or any info...anyone any ideas??

She can bring the P45 to her local tax office and explain that she has now returned to school (and won't be working for the rest of the year) and would like a review of the year and her tax status done.
They might do this straightaway but it could (theoretically possible) be deferred until after December when the tax year has completed just in case she took up some other part-time employment during the remainder of the year.
Depending on her earnings, she might also ask them about possible USC refunds- it may not apply but if her earnings were fluctuating there's a half-chance that some part of it might be refundable.
