New Washing Machine - Drum constantly filling with water

I bought an Indesit IWB 5113 (http://bit.ly/nldC0W) from PowerCity last weekend.

We used it once on Saturday. After the programme finished we turned it off, plugged it out and left the door open.
Got up Sunday morning and the drum was full of water up to the door and our wooden floors were soaked.

PowerCity want to send someone out to look at it. I'm not sure if I'm happy with a repair. It is a brand new washing machine. Should I look for a replacement?

two things cause this - water intake valve ( solenoid ) is faulty and letting water in , sometimes grit in water causes this -

the other is called back syphoning - if the drain hose has been pushed too far down waste pipe and is sitting in water , after the final spin the water syphons back slowly as there is no air break in the pipe
can also happen under sinks but that mostly in apartment buildings

    Thanks knighted_1,
It seems to be the solenoid. Indesit are coming out to have a look at it on Friday.
I'm a bit annoyed that a brand new machine has a fault that could cause so much damage.

I found this trouble with my washing machine at the start of the year right after I'd bought it, and what fixed it for me was making sure the cold feed tube was at the angle it indicates on the back of the machine (and thoroughly secure at machine and water source), not sure how or why but it being skewed was letting the drum fill up with water when it wasn't in use. Hasn't been a problem at all since
