What thermostat system?

Looking for some information as what might be the best system to use for controlling my central heating. The house is wired for thermostats and valves.

    what I have is

    Upstairs Stat
    Upstairs Valve
    Downstairs stat
    Downstairs valve
    Cylinder Stat
    Cylinder Valve

All the wires run back to the utility room where the timer for my gas boiler is.

what I'm looking for is the best way to do this so that I can control the 3 individually and all at the same time.

I'm not overly pushed about it being timed. Would Horstmann be my best option? or are there any other decent 3 zone controllers?

Horstmann would get my vote every time. I'd try run a multicore cable from the Utility Room back to somewhere accessible like the kitchen so that you can view and control the device more easily.

You could go for programmable room thermostats and a programmable cylinder thermostat. Something like a Danfoss TP7000si you could control each zone both time a temp from where the existing stats are. The name of the cylinder stat escapes me I think its a wp75si or something like that. They are a great piece of kit.

I have no stats at all at the moment just have wiring for them

I can easily move the wires into the kitchen just a matter of drilling a hole in the wall.

Wheres the best place to buy the horstmann?

I got my Horstmann in Dywer's Electrical here in Cork. Reckon you'd get them in any good electrical or plumbing suppliers.
