I also have a daughter starting collage in Dunboyne on the 17th /10 ,

There is no direct bus from Trim to Dunboyne , Im trying to find out if theres a private bus running from Trim to Dunboyne but im having no joy !!

I did contact a few private bus companys and I was told " The would put a bus in place if theres enough kids needing it ,,

I also contacted the college and I was told the same by them ,, " They said they did have a private bus company but yet again they would only lay the bus on if the had enough kids looking for the bus ,

Pitty the 111bus couldnt swing into Donboyne , would make life a lot easyer :D

Im guessing after a week or so or kids will find out who lives in or near Trim , I live in Kildalkey" Not to far from Trim ,

Im hoping that after a week or so we when we find out whos heading towards Trim , We might be able to set up a car pool " Take turns " ?

My daughter attended Dunboyne last year. She did get bus from Trim, it was the Maynooth college bus. But I think this bus may go direct to Maynooth this year but it worth checking out.
Some days, and it was a bit of hassle she did get 111 to the M3 Parkway train station and then a few minutes to Dunboyne by train..but still a nice bit of a walk to the college itself.
We also tried the 'car share' thing but we found unless it was someone doing the same course it was almost impossible as the timetables were so random..
    Good luck!!

Could get the Streamline bus that goes from Cavan to NUI Maynooth into Dunboyne. However, it may be dodgy around the college holidays as they may not run.

bit of a hassle but you can get the bus from Trim to M3 parkway train station and get train to dunboyne. Might not be economical though
